ASHEVILLE, N.C. - The College of Idaho closed out the final day of the NAIA Outdoor Track and Field Championships with another All-American performance and multiple strong finishes, capping a successful week on the national stage.
Kylee Quinton led the way on the final day, earning All-American honors in the women's 3,000-meter steeplechase with a third-place finish. The junior clocked a personal-best 10:39.64, moving up to No. 3 on the NAIA performance list this season while scoring six points for the Yotes.
Freshman Josie Patton joined Quinton in the steeplechase final and impressed in her national debut. Patton placed 10th in 11:06.02, a personal best by nearly 20 seconds from her seed time entering the meet. Her performance capped a breakout week, showcasing consistency and composure throughout the rounds.
In the women's 1,500 meters, Kiely Munson competed in the final, placing 10th with a time of 4:43.31. The junior closed out another strong national appearance against a deep field of top competitors.
The Yotes' success extended beyond the final day, as multiple athletes earned All-American honors throughout the week. Freshman Helene Rae continued her standout debut season with a fifth-place finish in the women's shot put, recording a mark of 14.48 meters (47-6.25). The performance secured her second career NAIA All-America honor after also placing fifth during the indoor season.
Junior Rozzlyn Cazier delivered one of the most impressive races of the meet in the women's 10,000 meters, placing seventh in 37:03.37 to earn her first career All-American honor. Cazier surged from the back of the field, moving up 10 spots from her seed and closing with a strong final lap to secure two team points.
With five freshmen competing on the national stage and multiple All-American performances across the roster, the Yotes showcased both depth and promise throughout the meet. The experience gained this week sets the foundation for a team poised to take another step forward next season.
