FOREST GROVE, Ore. — The College of Idaho opened multi-event competition at the Pacific Multi on Monday, setting the tone with strong performances across the decathlon and heptathlon.
Trevor Treat led the way on day one of the decathlon, totaling 3,330 points to sit in second place while recording the No. 2 Day 1 score in program history. He also hit a Cascade Collegiate Conference qualifying mark in the 400 meters with a time of 50.36.
Bryson Montag added 3,035 points on day one, good for seventh place and the No. 7 Day 1 score in school history. Aiden Fiske totaled 2,644 points to sit 10th, highlighted by a CCC qualifying mark and Pacific Multi meet record in the shot put (13.48 meters). Evan Anderson rounded out the group with 2,546 points, placing 12th after the opening day.
On the women's side, Kota Bussen led the Yotes in the heptathlon with 2,375 points to sit ninth. Graycee Litton followed in 13th (1,883 points), with Keira Merryman in 14th (1,757 points).
Competition concluded Tuesday, with Treat securing a runner-up finish in the decathlon with 5,857 points, a mark that ranks No. 7 in program history. He also set a Pacific Multi meet record in the 110-meter hurdles (15.04), moving to No. 3 all-time at C of I.
Montag placed seventh overall with 5,269 points and added a CCC qualifying mark in the 110-meter hurdles (15.20), ranking No. 7 in school history.
Anderson moved up to eighth place overall (2,546 points), while Fiske finished 10th (2,644 points).
In the heptathlon, Bussen closed out the meet with a seventh-place finish and 3,680 points to lead the Yotes. Merryman (3,057 points) and Litton (3,049 points) finished 13th and 14th, respectively.
