Yotes Excel Through Extreme Conditions at ITA Fall Championships

PHOENIX, Ariz. - Battling everything from torrential downpours to triple-digit heat, the College of Idaho women's tennis team turned in its best performance yet at the ITA Fall Championships, hosted by Arizona Christian Sept. 27-29.

Lina Boylan highlighted the Yotes' weekend, bouncing back from a second-round singles loss to capture the consolation bracket title. Boylan dominated her final three matches, winning by scores of 8-2, 8-2 and 8-1.

In doubles play, Hristina Ljuba and Nicole Tran reached the semifinals after an 8-1 victory over a Stanton University pair, while Boylan teamed with Berkley Klarisch to advance to the semifinals in their draw.

The strong showing capped a challenging weekend marked by frequent rain delays followed by searing 100-degree conditions, underscoring the Yotes' resilience in their fall season debut.
