Yotes Lacrosse Ready to Welcome Historic Freshman Class

CALDWELL, Idaho - The College of Idaho Lacrosse has announced the newest additions to the program ahead of the 2025-2026 season. This class breaks the previous record of the 2024-2025 class with 18 newcomers this fall. 17 of the newcomers are true freshman with 1 NCAA transfer. The class is highlighted by 2 high school All-Americans, 6 First Team All-State, 3 Second Team All-State and 2 All-Region players all from Idaho, Washington, Utah and California.

The Yotes are looking to continue their momentum from a historically strong 2025 season where they ended the season ranked number 14 after a first round loss in the national tournament to the number 2 seed who went on to lose in the national championship game. "We are going to be a very young team this season with 29 freshman and sophomores and only 3 upper classmen. After graduating 8 talented seniors; there will be some big holes to replace, but we are extremely excited to build with this young group"

The Yotes are looking to build off of last year's momentum. They finished as semifinalists in the Pacific Northwest Collegiate Lacrosse League (PNCLL) tournament.and earned a bid for the Men's Collegiate Lacrosse Association (MCLA) national tournament.
