CALDWELL, Idaho - The College of Idaho was awarded distinguished as a NAIA Champions of Character Five-Star Award by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). Institutions are measured on a demonstrated commitment to Champions of Character and earn points in character training, conduct in competition, academic focus, character recognition and character promotion. Institutions earned points based on exceptional student-athlete grade point averages and by having minimal to no ejections during competition throughout the course of the academic year.
The Yotes earned Silver institution status for their culture of weaving in the five core Champions of Character values: integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, and servant leadership.The Yotes were not alone in the Cascade Collegiate Conference to earn this prestigious honor as 11 schools in the conference earned Five-Star status to help the conference be named a Five-Star Conference.
