CALDWELL, Idaho – The College of Idaho's beach volleyball duo, Liza Montalbo and Maya Blake, have been named the Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) Pair of the Week following a dominant performance in the 3s pairing over the weekend.?
The pair achieved a perfect 4-0 record in duals against Northwest University, Simpson University, and No. 7-ranked Southern Oregon University. Their standout performance included back-to-back victories over Southern Oregon's Kira Sandoval and Lucretia Benolken, the reigning NAIA National Pair of the Week.?
Montalbo and Blake's weekend was highlighted by three consecutive three-set wins against Sandoval and Benolken (21-19, 16-21, 15-11), showcasing their resilience and strategic play. Against Simpson University, they secured a straight-set victory over Lynette McKenzie and Mackenzie Tataryn (21-13, 21-12).?
