CALDWELL, Idaho – The College of Idaho beach volleyball team made waves in the Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) postseason awards, with four Yotes earning all-conference honors and junior Maya Blake being named the CCC Newcomer of the Year.
Blake shined in her first season with the program, finishing with an 11-4 overall record across two pairings. Her standout performance came alongside Liza Montalbo at the No. 3 spot, where the duo went a perfect 4-0. That stretch included two wins over Southern Oregon's No. 3 pair and victories in team wins over Simpson and Northwest.
Both Blake and Montalbo were honored as All-CCC selections, with Montalbo closing out the season with a 10-5 overall mark.
The Yotes' top pair of Haley Hoopes and Sydney Dews also earned All-CCC honors. The tandem played exclusively at the No. 1 spot, posting a 10-5 record and collecting two wins over Southern Oregon's top pair during a pair of narrow 3-2 team defeats.
The postseason recognition highlights a successful spring campaign for the Yotes, who continued to build momentum and presence in the growing CCC beach volleyball landscape. The squad will compete in the CCC tournament and fight for a spot in the 8-team NAIA National Tournament.
