Hermiston, Ore. - The College of Idaho lacrosse season came to an end against the University of Montana in the Pacific Northwest Collegiate Lacrosse League semifinal. The Yotes lost the game 7-5 in nail biting fashion.
The first quarter was a back and forth affair. With both teams trading blows at 2-2 before Montana closed the first frame 3-2 in favor of the Griz.
Battling back, the Yotes took a 4-3 lead in the second quarter. The Griz fired back and jumped up 7-4 by the end of the third. The Yotes found life in the fourth to bring the difference within two but couldn't find the extra goals.
The Yotes finish the season 9-4 after starting with a nine game win streak. In the last coach's poll of the regular season, The College of Idaho finished ranked 16th.Â
