SURPRISE, Ariz. — The College of Idaho women's tennis team closed out its 2025 campaign on Tuesday morning, falling 4-0 to a strong Arizona Christian squad in the quarterfinals of the Golden State Athletic Conference (GSAC) Tournament.
The Yotes showed grit and energy across all courts, with several tight games in both doubles and singles play. Alissa Rautenberg and Riley Cordova pushed their opponents at No. 3 doubles, keeping the set close before falling 6-3. The duo of Hristina Ljuba and Nicole Tran fought through long rallies at No. 1 doubles in a 6-1 decision.
In singles action, Alden Long and Elizabeth Sagehorn battled in tough matchups, while Cordova showed flashes of aggressive play and strong serves at No. 6 singles.
Arizona Christian, ranked among the GSAC's top programs, capitalized on early momentum to clinch the match with wins on courts three, five, and six.
With no seniors on the roster, the Yotes wrap up the season full of optimism. A year of growth, experience, and competitive fire sets the foundation for what's ahead. The team is already looking forward to building on this year's progress and returning stronger in 2026.
