NORTH PLAINS, Ore -
Kaylee Jones was crowned individual co-champion at the Pacific Invitational hosted by Pacific Univ.. She inspired the Yotes to finish second as a team after tremendous performances. The men competed well and finished 7th. The Yotes competed at the 71 par Pumpkin Ridge Golf Course against teams from Rocky Mountain, Willamette, George Fox, Belevue College,
The women finished the tournament in second with a +91 score.
Kaylee Jones led the way finishing T1 with a +13 score. She finished day one with the co-lead with a +6 total at the end of Saturday and proved consistency to be key finishing +7 on Sunday to continue to co-lead the event. She grabbed three birdies over the two days.
Reece Garey finished T6 with a +17 two day score. She improved dramatically from her Saturday +11 total to score +6 on Sunday, aided by her birdie on the 11th in the final day.
Olivia Lammey also saw significant improvement Saturday to Sunday. She moved up 11 places between days to finish T16 from a +29 scores.
Karissa Goff (+35) and
Lauryn Bulger (+36) rounded out the Yotes.
The men finished in seventh place with a +46 team score.
Parker Edwards led the way for the Yotes finishing T11. He knocked in five birdies over the two days. Day one he finished +5 and then improved to +1 in the final round.
Lucas Rynearson finished only one stroke behind Edwards which earned him T14. He earned an impressive 11 birdies over the two rounds.
Carson King (+14),
Drisan Booth (+20), and
Jack Phipps (+23) rounded out the Yotes' team score.
The Yotes will compete next at the Warrior Spring Classic hosted by Lewis-Clark State College. They will play at the Lewiston Golf & Country Club in Lewiston, Idaho on March 24th and 25th.
