CALDWELL, Idaho - The Pacific Collegiate Swim and Dive Conference (PCSC) announced this week's athletes of the weeks. For the first time in program history, the Yotes earned both male and female athlete of the week behind
Cahill Robinson and
Lily Schroer's strong performances at the Great Southwest Athletic Conference (GSAC) Championships.
Robinson's highlight of the weekend was winning the 100 yard breaststroke with a 5.90, breaking his own school record. Robison scored more points at the GSAC championships than any other Yote to propel The College of Idaho to their best finish in the GSAC in school's history to take third place at the meet. His other individual podiums included third place finishes in the 200 yard individual medley and the 200 yard breaststroke. His swim in the team's 400 yard medley scored the Yotes a critical fourth place finish.
Schroer also had a stellar weekend at the GSAC Championships, leading the Yotes in points scored on the women's side. She set personal bests with her swims in the 500 freestyle (5:42.30) and the mile (20:18.05). He mile time was a 35 second drop from her previous best showcasing her continued growth and endurance at the championship level.
