BOISE, Idaho – The College of Idaho women's tennis team took on NCAA Division I opponent Utah Tech on Sunday evening, falling 7-0 at the Boise State Indoor Tennis Facility.
The duo of Berkley Klarich and Adele Long put up a strong fight in doubles play, battling to a 6-3 loss in the closest match of the evening. Utah Tech secured the doubles point by sweeping all three matches.
In singles action, Klarich put together the most competitive effort for the Yotes, dropping a 6-2, 6-2 decision. Hristina Ljuba and Long each managed to win a few points in their respective matches, but Utah Tech controlled play throughout.
The Yotes now shift their focus to a California road trip, where they will face Great Southwest Athletic Conference opponents.
