LEWISTON, Idaho - The College of Idaho tennis team took on the Lewis-Clark State Warriors in back to back days of action.
Berkley Klarich had a solid performance in the competition. Competing in the number two slot in singles, she scored the only point for the Yotes over the weekend. She earned her first set win in a close 6-4 set and then powered past Naiara Montero from LCSC 6-2. Her day was also highlighted with her doubles play with teammate
Adele Long. The Yotes duo took on the LCSC number two pairing from LCSC April Buckingham and Naiara Montero. They won their match 7-6.
Hristina Ljuba also had an admiral performance. On day one, she was the only Yote to win a set. She dropped her first set going against LCSC number one single 4-6. She battled back in the second set to win 6-4 to force a tiebreaker. She played hard but fell 10-5.
The Yotes will have their next match on March 9th against Utah Tech. It will be competed on the Boise State Univ. campus at the Boas Tennis Center.
