Yotes Glide Into Postseason with Momentum

SNOQUALMIE PASS, Wash. – The College of Idaho ski team wrapped up the regular season with a strong showing at Pacific Crest this weekend, securing multiple podium finishes and a second-place team result in both the women's and men's slalom.

Saturday Recap
The Yotes put together a solid team performance on Saturday, with the women finishing second out of nine teams and the men placing fifth.

Individually, Caitlyn Bumpers led the way for the women, finishing second overall with a combined time of 1:50.61. Teammate Taylor Watkins also cracked the top 10, placing sixth with a time of 1:56.14. Their performances helped the College of Idaho post a total time of 5:48.88, finishing just behind Montana State University (5:44.46).

On the men's side, Jiri Vesely posted the top time for the Yotes, finishing eighth overall in 1:39.66. Carson Parco and Forrest Bowman also put in competitive runs, helping CI finish with a total team time of 5:18.03.

Sunday Recap
The Yotes improved their standing on Sunday, with both the men's and women's teams finishing in the top three. The women secured third place with a total time of 5:25.52, while the men claimed second with a combined 4:38.21.

Taylor Watkins led the C of I women, finishing fourth overall in 1:45.52. Bumpers also delivered another strong showing, taking eighth in 1:46.98. Their efforts kept the Yotes within striking distance of the top teams, with Montana State winning the women's team title in 5:21.44.

On the men's side, Carson Parco delivered one of the standout performances of the weekend, finishing third overall in 1:28.19. Jiri Vesely added another top-10 result, placing eighth in 1:31.64. Their combined efforts lifted the Yotes to a second-place finish, just behind Montana State (4:28.61).

With the regular season now complete, the College of Idaho looks ahead to postseason competition, hoping to build on their momentum and contend for top finishes on the national stage.
