LEWISTON, Idaho — The College of Idaho golf teams wrapped up their fall season with a strong showing at the LC Warrior Fall Invitational, hosted by Lewis-Clark State College at the Lewiston Golf & Country Club. The Yotes were led by standout performances from Lucas Rynearson and Reece Garey, with Rynearson capturing the individual title on the men's side and Garey forcing her third playoff of the season.
Rynearson carded a two-day total of 140 to win the men's tournament by a single stroke over Stephen Paul of Spokane Colleges. He opened with a 3-under-par 69 on Monday, recording four birdies and just one bogey. On Tuesday, Rynearson shot a 71, highlighted by an eagle on hole 13 that ultimately secured the victory.
The Yotes men's team finished fourth overall with a team score of 586, trailing Oregon Tech (571), LC State (581), and Spokane Colleges (583). Carson King joined Rynearson in the top 15, tying for 13th with rounds of 69 and 72 (141). Braden Brown (75-73—148) also tied for 13th, while Parker Edwards (72-77—149) placed inside the top 20.
On the women's side, Garey continued her impressive fall campaign, tying for third with a two-day total of 150 (75-75). She carded four birdies during the tournament and forced a playoff with LC State's Giulia Belfontali, ultimately falling short in the extra hole. Garey has now competed in three playoffs this season.
The Yotes women's team placed third with a score of 662, finishing behind LC State (611) and Oregon Tech (633). Olivia Lammey turned in a top-10 performance, placing ninth with rounds of 79 and 80 (159). Lauryn Bulger also cracked the top 20, shooting 88-79—167.
With the conclusion of the LC Warrior Fall Invitational, The College of Idaho golf teams will now take a break before returning to competition in the spring.
