CALDWELL, Idaho – The College of Idaho golf programs enter the 2026-27 season with a mix of experienced veterans and impactful newcomers as both the Yotes men's and women's teams were picked to finish fifth in the Cascade Collegiate Conference preseason coaches' poll.
Under sixth-year head coach
Jeff Davies, both squads are looking to build on last season's success and position themselves among the conference contenders.
The women's team returns a strong foundation led by junior
Olivia Lammey, who averaged 81.5 strokes per round a season ago while recording three top-10 finishes. As one of the program's most experienced competitors, Lammey will be counted on to provide consistent scoring and leadership throughout the season.
While replacing standout senior
Reece Garey will be no easy task, the Yotes have added several players expected to make an immediate impact. Garey leaves behind a decorated career after winning three tournaments last season and earning All-CCC honors.
Among the newcomers, sophomore transfer
InkJung Charnchanayothin arrives from NCAA Division I Univ. of Idaho and brings valuable collegiate experience to the lineup. Junior transfer
Kylee Scroggs joins the program from Napa Valley Junior College with expectations of contributing right away, while freshman
Samantha Kingsbury will look to establish herself early in her collegiate career. Together, the trio provides depth and talent as the Yotes seek to climb the conference standings.
On the men's side, Senior
Lucas Rynearson is back after a stellar campaign that included a victory at the Warrior Fall Invitational and a solid 74.2 scoring average. Fellow senior
Carson King also returns after capturing the Run-In at the Ranch title and posting a 74.7 average last season.
The men's roster also welcomes a pair of newcomers expected to strengthen an already experienced squad. Junior transfer Francisco Carvalho arrives from York University looking to make an immediate impact, while freshman Raid Hoppock, a local standout, is expected to challenge for a significant role in his first season
With proven leadership, tournament-winning experience and an influx of new talent across both programs, the Yotes enter the season with optimism.
