KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – The College of Idaho men's and women's golf teams opened the 2026-27 season with fifth-place finishes at the Oregon Tech Invitational, held at Running Y Ranch Resort. The men's team highlighted the weekend with a program-record round, while several Yotes turned in impressive individual performances with a silver medal going to
InkJung Charnchanayothin.
The women's team placed fifth in the tournament with a two-round score of 661 (325-336). Leading the way was sophomore Charnchanayothin, who finished tied for second overall after carding an even-par 144. After opening with a 76, Charnchanayothin fired a tournament-best 68 in the final round, finishing four-under par on the day with four birdies.
Olivia Lammey added a tied-for-27th-place finish with a score of 168, while
Kylee Scroggs placed 31st at 171.
Karissa Goff finished 40th with a 178, and
Halle Richter rounded out the Yotes lineup in 49th place with a score of 194.
On the men's side, The College of Idaho also earned a fifth-place team finish, posting an 888 over three rounds. The Yotes' second-round score of 284, four-under par, established a new program record for the lowest team round.
Freshman
Reid Hoppock enjoyed a standout collegiate debut, leading the Yotes with an even-par 216 and a tie for eighth place. Hoppock recorded six birdies and an eagle during the tournament and posted rounds of 73, 71 and 72.
Lucas Rynearson finished tied for 17th after shooting a 221. His tournament was highlighted by a three-under-par 69 in the second round.
Carson King also secured a top-25 finish, tying for 22nd with a three-round total of 222.
Drisan Booth placed tied for 34th at 229, highlighted by a one-under-par 71 during the record-setting second round.
Holden Howell completed the Yotes lineup with a score of 246.
The season-opening event provided an encouraging start for both programs, with the women's team receiving a breakout performance from Charnchanayothin and the men establishing a new team scoring benchmark in their first tournament of the year.
