SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – The College of Idaho Men's and Women's golf teams traveled to Springfield, Ore. for their opening tournament of the 2024-2025 season. The two squads competed at the Pine Ridge golf course as part of the Bushnell Fall Invitational. The men tied for seventh with Southern Oregon Univ. tallying 934 strokes from three rounds. Their strongest being the 309 strokes in the second round. The women also placed seventh with 693 strokes from two rounds. Their strongest round was the first round with 346.
The men were led by
Cole Wasson who finished 17th with +12 over the three rounds combined on the par 72 course. His third round was the strongest of his tournament with a 74 on the round. He finished with four birdies over the two-day tournament. Finishing three strokes behind Wasson,
Drisan Booth finished T19 finishing +15. Booth managed to get three birdies during the invitational.
Lucas Rynearson (+21) and
Parker Edwards (+24) rounded out the scorers for the Yotes.
The ladies were led by
Reece Garey. She finished 17th with +20 score on the two round, par 72 course. Garey's first round was her strongest as she finished +7.
Kaylee Jones finished one spot behind Garey at T17 with a +21 two round score. She managed to get three birdies over the two rounds. Olivai Lammey (+34) and
Lauryn Bulger (+42) rounded out the scorers for the Yotes.
The Yotes will compete next at the Run-in At The Ranch hosted by Oregon Tech on September 30th and October 1st.
