CALDWELL, Idaho – The College of Idaho's football team has received significant recognition as they prepare for the upcoming season. In the latest preseason rankings released by Victory Sports Network, the Yotes have been picked to finish third in the NAIA nation, highlighting their strong potential for the year ahead.
Additionally, four standout athletes from The College of Idaho have been named to the NAIA-99 - Top 99 Athletes to Watch this Season. Quarterback Andy Peters, offensive lineman Brett Gydesen, wide receiver John Kreps, and linebacker Willie Nelson are poised to make a significant impact on the field as they lead the Coyotes in pursuit of a championship.
"It is an honor to be ranked high. We have very high expectations for ourselves. It also reminds us of the incredible hard work of all the Yote Football teams from past years," said head coach Mike Moroski.
The Yotes open their season on August 24 under the lights against Lincoln Univeristy (Calif.), where they will look to build on this momentum and showcase their talent.
