Logan, Utah – #22 College of Idaho fell for the first time this season to #20 Utah State Aggie (2-1). The Aggies took a 5-3 lead early on but jumped ahead 10-3 by halftime. The Yotes battled back to get the game within three, ending the third quarter 13-10 still in favor of the Aggies.
Joaquin Ruby's performance in net was one of class. He tallied 15 saves on the night to keep the Yotes in the game. The Aggies kicked into another gear in the fourth and showed their depth as they finished the game strong handing the Yotes a 18-10 loss.
Despite the tough loss, the Yotes had some strong standouts.
Kip Childs was able to score four goals and contribute an assist.
Paul O'Neill also put up four points (2 goals, 2 assists).
Ty Burnett picked up 6 ground balls on the night.
The Yotes play again tomorrow against Southern Utah (0-0) at 11am in Logan, Utah
