CALDWELL, Idaho — The College of Idaho is proud to announce that four members of its women's volleyball team — Haley McUne, Savannah Hutchins, Jerzie Bair, and Alexa Wheeler — have been named to the prestigious 2024 Academic All-District® Team, selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC).
This honor recognizes their exceptional performances on the court and in the classroom. To qualify, student-athletes must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.5 and participate in at least 90% of the team's games.
Haley McUne led the Yotes offensively this season with 324 kills, averaging 2.55 kills per set, while also contributing 422 digs, 50 blocks, and 56 service aces. Savannah Hutchins was the team's primary setter, amassing an impressive 728 assists, averaging 5.43 assists per set, alongside 287 digs and 31 service aces.
Jerzie Bair made her mark defensively and at the net, tallying 55 blocks and 69 kills across 79 sets. Alexa Wheeler was a dominant presence at the net as well, recording 235 kills with an efficient .286 hitting percentage and adding 139 blocks, the second-highest on the team.
The quartet's contributions were instrumental in the team's success, as the Yotes finished the season with a 22-14 record and advanced to the postseason.
