ATHERTON, California - The College of Idaho women's tennis team took on Menlo College on Monday. The Yotes dropped a 7-0 decision to the host Oaks.
Many of the matches were tightly contested noted head coach
Jennifer Swing in the matchup. One of the close ones was a 7-5 loss at No. 1 doubles by the team of
Lauren Kreutzer and
Leiana Almaraz to Valentina Urelli and Milana Hrudka. In singles play, Swing noted the play of Kreutzer at No. 1 and
Anna Willcuts at No. 5. Kreutzer lost by a 7-6 (10-4), 6-2 margin and Willcuts lost 6-4, 6-2. Despite the loss, the Yotes head coach that Willcuts played some of the best tennis that she had seen from her.
The team will continue its Spring Break Trip to California with a matchup on Wednesday to face Westcliff at noon (PT)/1 p.m. (MT).
