The College of Idaho women's tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision to Lewis-Clark State on Sunday.
The Yotes (1-1) were engaged in a pair of tightly contested doubles matches with the Warriors. After a 6-0 loss at the No. 3 flight, it was a pair of close losses at No. 2, 7-5 and at No. 3, 7-6 that went in favor of host LCSC.
"Our No. 2 doubles team (
Nicole Tran and
Anna Willcuts) played amazing today as they were hyper focused and energetic," said head coach
Jennifer Swing.
Singles play saw the Warriors in all five matches on its way to the match victory. The Yotes
Lauren Kreutzer fell by a tight margin of 4-6, 7-5, 6-2 at No. 1 and
Summer Townsend lost by a 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 decision at No. 4.
Next, on Friday, College of Idaho will face Boise State.
