NEWBERG, Ore. - College of Idaho women's tennis played its first of three matches in Oregon on Friday as they took on George Fox (NCAA Division III). The host Bruins posted a 7-2 win over the Yotes.

All three doubles matches were tightly contest as the No. 1 team of
Lauren Kreutzer and
Leiana Almaraz dropped a narrow 8-7 (8-4) margin. The No. 2 team of
Nicole Tran and
Anna Willcuts and the No. 3 team of
Summer Townsend and
Brooke McNeel each lost by a close score of 8-4.

The two wins for College of Idaho came as
Lauren Kreutzer cruised to a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 1 singles over Ellie Mangan. Then,
Leiana Almaraz rallied for a 6-3, 4-6, 1-0 (10-8) win over Emily McDonald at No. 2 singles.
