CARMEL, Calif. - The College of Idaho men's golf team completed the second round at the PCH Invitational, hosted at Quail Lodge and Golf Club.
Carson King shined on the front nine, rattling off pars on five of his first seven holes of his round. He would end his front nine with a bogey-par finish, shooting a three over 38 on the opening nine holes. He would rattle off a pair of birdies on the 14th and 15th holes en route to a final round score of five over 76.
Jack Phipps would shoot well on the front nine, ending the opening half at four over 39. Phipps would start his round with back-to-back pars on the opening two holes. He would have bogeys on his next three holes before bouncing back over the next four holes to end his front nine with four consecutive pars. Following a bogey-par-bogey start to his back nine, Phipps would par his next three holes. He would end his round at nine over 80.
Parker Edwards bounced back from his opening round on his front nine, rattling off four pars out of his first seven holes. Edwards would card a bogey and double bogey to end his front nine at six over. Edwards would fire off five straight pars to begin his back nine, and record a birdie on the par four 16th. Edwards would end his round with a bogey and a par, good for a total of seven over.
Evan Inglesby and
Braden Brown would each end their front nine at five over 50. Brown's front nine would end with four consecutive pars, while Inglesby would have a stretch of three straight pars on his opening nine holes. Brown would record a bogey on the tenth before his first birdie of the day on the par four 11th. Both Brown and Inglesby would have a stretch on the back nine of at least three straight pars before ending their rounds. Brown would end his round with a birdie on the 18th.
The Yotes will take the next few months to get ready for the spring tournament season.
