NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana – The College of Idaho men's and women's cross country teams were named to the 2022 United States Track and Field Cross Country Coaches Association All-Academic Team, plus seven women and six men were named to the All-Academic Team as individuals on Thursday.
The College of Idaho women's team posted the nation's top GPA with a 3.9 under first year head coach
Dominic Bolin. The men's team also picked up the honor with its 3.68 grade-point average. In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period, among other qualifiers.
The women's team had seven individuals –
Molly Connor,
Charlie Duff,
Kahea Figueira,
Jovi Kuskie,
Sage Martin,
Abbey Shirts and
Ellyse Tingelstad - qualify for the All-Academic Team.
On the men's side, six Yotes -
Lukas Brown,
Daniel Butler,
Elias Everist,
Braden Heath,
Will Kracaw and
Brevin Vaughan - qualified to the All-Academic Team.
In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, student athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and qualify for the national championship meet.
