CLEVELAND, Ohio – College of Idaho athletics leads the Cascade Conference and ranks third nationally in the NAIA Learfield Directors' Cup fall standings with 333.50 points.
The Yotes earned points in five fall sports, led by a third-place national finish from the football program, which competes in the Frontier Conference. Women's cross country placed fifth nationally, while women's soccer earned a ninth-place finish.
Men's cross country added to the total with a 14th-place national finish, and women's volleyball rounded out the scoring with a 17th-place finish. Those combined results placed College of Idaho atop the Cascade Conference standings, while football's success also positioned the Yotes at the top of the Frontier Conference.
Indiana Wesleyan leads the NAIA standings with 425.00 points, followed by Cumberlands (Ky.) at 385.00 points. Marian sits fourth with 296.50 points, while The Master's rounds out the top five with 270.00 points.
The Learfield Directors' Cup awards points based on an institution's finish in national championship competition and serves as a measure of overall athletic department success. Fall standings released during the season are unofficial, with final standings to be determined following the completion of spring championships.
