No. 12 Montana scored the game-winning goal with4:24 left in the fourth quarter to defeat No. 1 College of Idaho, 13-12 in the PNCLL Division III championship game on Sunday.
The Yotes (10-1) were led by a five-goal effort from
Casey Davies and a pair of two goal efforts from
Brad Hale and
Loy Howard in the loss.
The two traded goals to start the game before Davies completed his hat trick with an extra-man opportunity with 5:39 left in the first quarter. Three-straight goals by Montana put the visitors ahead 5-3.

Brad Hale and Brant for the Yotes tied the game at 5. College of Idaho regained the lead when Davies scored his fourth goal of the afternoon with 12:00 left in the third quarter. The visitors came back to tie the game at 6 before a second goal by
Brad Hale put the Yotes ahead 7-6 with 9:55 to go in the third quarter.
The Grizzlies scored four unanswered goals and remained in front until Howard scored :45 into the fourth quarter to tie the contest at 12. The Grizzlies scored the game-winning goal with 4:24 left in the contest despite a few chance by the Yotes attack.
