NEW ORLEANS, La. - The College of Idaho women's track and field team was honored today with multiple West Region awards from the United States Track and Field Cross Country Coaches Association.
Senior
Catylynn Duff earned her second-straight West Region Field Athlete of the Year honor, while coaches
Mike Anderson and
Dominic Bolin were honored for their work in guiding multiple athletes to the NAIA Indoor National Championships.
Duff currently has the top weight throw mark in the NAIA (18.69 meters / 61 feet, 4 inches) and is ranked in the Top-25 in the shot put (13.08 / 42-11). She was an All-American in both events last season.
Anderson and Bolin have been instrumental in the development of the distance and middle distance runners - as
Sage Martin and
Ellyse Tingelstad have qualified in the 3,000-meters,
Abbey Shirts holds the No. 3 mark in the NAIA in the 1,000-meters, while the Yotes have also qualified a distance medley relay team.
C of I heads next week to Brookings, S.D., for the NAIA Indoor National Championships.
