MOSCOW, Idaho – All three College of Idaho divers hit the NAIA automatic qualifying standard, headlining a big tri-meet against the University of Idaho and Ottawa University of Arizona at the U of I Aquatics Center.
The Yotes split the regular-season ending duals – losing to U of I 274-62, while rolling past OUAZ 190-38.
The trio of
Keidon Reynolds,
Cadi Garcie and
Emidia Weinstock all met the NAIA national mark on the 1-meter board – giving the Yotes their largest contingent of divers to make the national meet. Reynolds had a career-best 6-dive score of 210.25, while Garcie recorded a 187.75 and Weinstock a 180.10 – all above the 180-point total needed.
C of I also added a second relay team to their nationals list – as the 200-medley relay met the automatic standard. The team of
Kailey Owen,
Abbi Gibby,
Anna Cook and
Maya Murphy took second overall with a time of 1:53.22.
Owen added her name to the national list – recording a provisional national mark in the 200-yard backstroke (2:15.07), as did
Maddison Rice in the 100-yard butterfly (1:01.56).
Both
Maya Murphy and
Anna Cook recorded season-best times – improving their national cuts. Murphy took second in both the 50-yard freestyle (24.30) and 100-yard freestyle (53.42), with took placing third in the 100-yard butterfly (57.73).
