LEWISTON, Idaho - An inspired effort by The College of Idaho women's tennis team did not show up in the final score, as Lewis-Clark State completed a weekend sweep of the Yotes, winning 7-0, at Lewiston High School.
The Coyotes won 6-or-more games in five of the six singles matches - with
Lauren Kreutzer losing a tough 6-4, 6-4 decision at No. 1 to Begona Andres;
Taylor Johnson dropping a 6-4, 7-6 match at No. 2 to Alexandra Barry;
Sara Altfas falling 6-4, 7-6 at No. 3 to Alexis Maison and
Leiana Almaraz dropping a 3-set thriller to Sophie Uhlenkoff (6-3, 6-7, 10-5) at No. 4.
LCSC won the doubles point by winning the first two matches, with Altfas and Almaraz earning a 6-2 victory at No. 3 over Uhlenkoff and Kyla Collier.
