LEWISTON, Idaho –
Clancy Cockerham shot a final round 2-over-par 74, helping The College of Idaho to their best team finish in a Cascade Conference event since 2018, placing third at the Lewis-Clark State Invitational at Lewiston Country Club.
The Coyotes fired a final round 304 to finish in a tie with Multnomah in third-place (298-317-304 – 919) – 10 strokes behind team champion, Oregon Tech. Bushnell placed second (916), with Lewis-Clark State fifth (920), Corban sixth (927) and Walla Walla in seventh (1,013).
Cockerham was one of eight players to record a final round of 74 or better – finishing the 54-hole event at 7-over-par 223 (71-78-74) – trailing only individual champ, Maysen Tibbs of OIT (214), Jon Holzgang of Bushnell (216) and Carlos Davila of Lewis-Clark State (222).
Tristan Belue finished in a tie for fifth (71-76-77 – 224) at 8-over par, while
Jake O'Neil fired a final round 76 to finish in a tie for 17th (77-80-76 – 233).
C of I will take the next two weeks off of competition, returning the second week of April at the Bushnell Invitational.
