Maddison Rice established her second NAIA provisional national qualifying mark of the season, as The College of Idaho women's swim team competed in a virtual dual meet with Whitworth University inside the J.A. Albertson Aquatics Center.

With Whitworth competing in their home pool in Spokane and the Yotes in their home venue, the Pirates earned wins in all 15-events and claimed a 186-42 victory in the long course dual.
Competing in the 200-yard butterfly, Rice placed fourth overall in the event, but her time of 2:19.29 was seven-tenths of a season under the NAIA "B" standard.
Anna Cook had a solid day, earning second-place finishes in the 100-yard butterfly (1:00.63) and the 100-yard freestyle (56.94), while
Caroline Yannelli took second in the 200-yard breaststroke.
Maya Murphy placed second in the 50-yard freestyle (25.01), while improving her NAIA "B" time in the 100-yard freestyle with a lead leg time of 54.66 seconds in the 400-yard freestyle relay.
Freshman
Micah Sharples earned a second-place finish in the 100-yard backstroke (1:06.32).
The Yotes will take next weekend off in preparation for a regular-season ending Virtual Championships on Feb. 12-14.
