BOISE, Idaho – Quality play from
Lauren Kreutzer and
Leiana Almaraz against regionally-ranked singles opponents and a victory by the duo in doubles action highlighted the morning for the College of Idaho women's tennis team in a 7-0 loss to Lewis-Clark State inside the Boas Tennis Center.

The tandem dominated play at No. 2 doubles – toppling Laura Rosselli and Sophie Uhlenkott, 6-2. Unfortunately, LCSC took wins at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles to earn the team point.
Kreutzer continued her outstanding play at No. 1 singles – battling Begona Andres, the No. 10 ranked player in the West Region, to a pair of tiebreaks, before losing 7-6, 7-6.
Almaraz met No. 15-ranked Laura Diaz at No. 2, rallying to win a second-set tiebreak, before dropping the deciding superbreaker – falling in a 6-4, 6-7, 1-0 (10-4) decision.
LCSC won the remaining four matches – with the Yotes
Natalie Little forcing a second set tiebreaker, before losing at No. 4 to Alexis Maison 6-3, 7-6.
The Coyotes (0-5) hit the road next weekend for matches at Willamette and George Fox.
