BOISE, Idaho – College of Idaho dropped their Treasure Valley home opener, as nationally-ranked Linfield College topped the Yotes, 7-0, inside Boas Tennis Center on the Boise State campus.

The Division III Wildcats (1-2), ranked No. 33 by the ITA, claimed the doubles point while winning the three pairs matches and took all 12 singles sets played on the day.
The Coyotes (0-3) got their best doubles play at No. 2, as
Alex Sorte and
Natalie Little battled throughout a 6-3 loss to the Cats Riley Clayeux and Michelle Uyeda.
In singles play, Sorte matched Clayeux, a Top-50 Division III player, point for point in the first set before dropping a 6-4, 6-1 decision at No. 2.
Natalie Little was the only other C of I player to win more than three games, losing 6-2, 6-3 to Haley Fujimori at No. 5.
C of I continues their local action next weekend, playing matches in Boise against both Boise State and Lewis-Clark State.
