BOISE, Idaho - The new-look College of Idaho men's golf team opened up the 2020-21 season at Crane Creek Country Club, meeting Lewis-Clark State in a Match Play event.

The Yotes earned a victory and halved a pair of matches, but the visiting Warriors battled back from early deficits to claim the win, 5-2.
Peyton Fleming recorded the lone win for C of I in Match 5, winning the 18th hole to finish off the Warriors Avery Falash, 2-up.
Senior
Clancy Cockerham returned to the course after a year away, with his match vs. LCSC's Justin Cox going back-and-forth, before the duo finished all square. Fellow senior,
Joshua Palmer battled back to halve his match with the Warriors Caleb Hiatt.
LCSC earned the win on the 7,000-yard course thanks to the play of Carlos Davila and Zach Rawls - who dominated action on the inward nine. Davila defeated C of I's Tristen Belue, 4-and-3, while Rawls stopped
Camden Chose, 5-and-3. The Warriors closed out the day with a win from Brett Littrell, a 2-and-1 decision over C of I's
Jacob Patterson.
The two teams will meet again tomorrow in a head-to-head team dual at Noon.
