CORVALLIS, Ore. – Both College of Idaho golf teams were picked to finish in the middle of the pack as the 2020-21 Cascade Conference Preseason Coaches' Polls were released by the league office.
On the men's side, the Coyotes were picked to finish fifth overall after a balloting of the seven CCC head coaches. C of I received 19 voter points – with Oregon Tech holding the No. 1 spot among four teams separated by just seven voter points.
The Yotes look to be much improved in 2020-21 with a dynamic recruiting class giving the team depth they have not had in recent seasons.
The C of I women were picked to finish fifth overall with 13 voter points – with OIT outpointing Lewis-Clark State for the top spot.
After having just two student-athletes last season, the women's squad will have a full competing roster and expected to contend in every league match.
In addition, 2018-19 champion, British Columbia, have shuttered their program for the upcoming season due to the CoVID-19 pandemic and issues with the U.S.-Canadian Border.
