EAGLE POINT, Ore. – The College of Idaho golf teams opened up the 2019 portion of their schedule, competing at the Oregon Tech Spring Invitational at Eagle Point Golf Club.
The women's team finished sixth overall, while the men's team did not have four competitors compete 54-holes, earning an incomplete score.
Sami Dement led the women's team, placing 14th overall at 30-over-par (89-85 – 174), while teammate
Maya Hatton took 11 strokes off her Round 1 score to jump into a tie for 19th at 39-over-par (97-86 – 183).
C of I recorded a team score of 811 (408-403) – 189 strokes behind team champion, Oregon Tech. OIT's Ashley Zhu earned medalist honors at 7-over-par (76-75 – 151).
Clancy Cockerham led the C of I men, placing 26th overall at 35-over-par (86-84-81 – 251), with Peyton Flemming taking 35th (94-97-82 – 273).
OIT also won the men's title at 30-over-par (294-304-296 – 894), 27 strokes clear of Menlo (304-311-306 – 921).
