CORVALLIS, Ore. - College of Idaho volleyball players
Abigail Guinn and
Drew Dobney were honored today as Red Lion-Cascade Conference Volleyball Players of the Week, announced by the league information office.
Guinn, a freshman from Reno, Nev., was named Setter of the Week for the third time this season. She averaged 13.3 assists per set in the Coyotes home wins over Multnomah and Warner Pacific - recording a career-best 57 assists in the win over WPU. Guinn added 11 digs, three blocks and two aces over the weekend.
Dobney, a junior from Vale, Ore., earned Defensive Player of the Week for the first time this season and the fourth time for her career. She had a combined 34 digs in the two matches, while returning 24 service attempts without an error. Dobney recorded a match-high 24 digs in the win over WPU - the seventh time this season she has recorded a match with 20 or more digs.
C of I continues their six match homestand this weekend, hosting Northwest Christian and Corban.
