Joey Brant broke a 2-2 tie early in the second quarter, starting a run of seven-straight goals in a 20-minute stretch by the Yotes to take command of the match against the Cougars (11-2), an at-large team from the Southwestern Lacrosse Conference.

Guzzetti became the first C of I player to record 200 goals in a career with a left-handed drive into the net early in the third quarter to extend the lead to 8-2 and followed with the final goal of his career two minutes later.
