ASHLAND, Ore. - Three College of Idaho players were honored tonight as members of the All-Cascade Conference Volleyball Team, while
Drew Dobney shared the Libero of the Year award, as the league announced their end-of-year accolades at the CCC Tournament Banquet.
Dobney, a sophomore from Vale, shared the libero honors with Eastern Oregon's Kiley MacMurtrey and Southern Oregon's Emma Ryan - the first three-way tie for a top-CCC award in league history. The C of I libero leads the league in digs per set (4.50) and has recorded 26-straight matches with 10 or more digs.
Seniors
Taylor Alexander and
Jackie van Vliet, along with junior
Ashley Pagan, were among the 14 players named to the All-CCC Team.
Alexander, from Ontario, Ore., is averaging 3.33 kills per set and earns the honor for the second-straight year, while van Vliet, from Twin Falls, is averaging 2.89 kills and a league-best 1.16 blocks per set - earning her second straight All-CCC honor.
Pagan, from Colorado Springs, has had a banner season - leading C of I with 408 kills and added 460 digs - ranking among the CCC's Top-5 in both categories.
Southern Oregon's Taylor Ristvedt was named Player of the Year; Evergreen's Sierra Wolff was named Freshman of the Year; with SOU's Josh Rohlfing earning Coach of the Year honors.
