KEIZER, Ore. –
Dalton Ridgway went 4-for-4 with two doubles and five RBI, helping the College of Idaho split a doubleheader with Corban University at Volcanoes Stadium.
The host Warriors (12-22, 6-15) held off a late C of I rally to win the opener, 3-1, while the Yotes scored nine unanswered runs to win Game 2, 10-1.
Trailing 3-0 in Game 1, the Yotes (15-19, 8-9) got an eighth inning solo homer from
Bobby Wright to get on the board and loaded the bases with one out in the ninth. However, Thomas Kerr got a strikeout and pop up to end to earn the save for Corban.

C of I struck first in Game 2, as Ridgway lifted a sacrifice fly in the second, only to see Corban tie the game in the fifth on a Drew Loera solo homer. The Yotes took the lead for good in the sixth, as
Austin Van Horne and
Hunter Hanson recorded back to back doubles and Ridgway lined an RBI single to make it 3-1.
The Yotes broke the game open in the eighth, scoring five runs – getting a two-run double by Ridgway and a two-run triple from
Devon Pogue.
Niall Manning improved to 5-0 on the season, allowing just three hits in five innings of work. Three C of I relievers combined for four shutout innings, limiting Corban to just two hits and fanning five. Pogue and Van Horne each had two hits, with Hanson scoring four runs.
