In the morning match, the Loggers (2-0) earned two of the three doubles points - with C of I earning their lone win at No. 2, as
Hailey Boyd and
Erin Huffman outlasted Lizzy Chao and Bridget Meyer, 9-8. Singles action featured three three-set matches - with UPS winning two of the three to earn the win. Freshman
Alex Sorte claimed her first win of her college career at No. 3 singles, logging a 6-2, 1-6, 6-4 vicotry over Chao, while
Vanessa Almaraz topped Tresa Bild at No. 6 - 6-2, 1-6, 1-0 (10-8).
The afternoon featured more of the same - as UPS grabbed two doubles points - with C of I earning an 8-2 win from Almaraz and
Hailey Boyd at No. 3. Â The Loggers closed the match by sweeping the top three singles spots, with the Yotes getting a 3-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-6) win at No. 4 by
Allie Boyd over Meyer and
Hailey Boyd topping Bild in a No. 6 singles pro-set, 8-2.
The Yotes (0-2) return to action next weekend with road matches at Willamette and Pacific.
