Nich Guzzetti scored with just 22 seconds remaining in the match, as the College of Idaho outlasted Gonzaga University, 17-16, in a Pacific Northwest Collegiate Lacrosse League crossover at Joe Albi Stadium.
After Spencer Amberson scored for the Bulldogs (1-3) to tie the score with under three minutes to play, the Yotes turned to their All-American - who scored his fifth goal of the match to help C of I (2-0) remain unbeaten.
The Yotes rolled to an 8-2 lead in the first period, including a pair of
Dillon Green goals, only to watch Ben Anderson score three quick goals as GU closed within 10-9 at the break.
Guzzetti added three assists and 13 ground ball recoveries in the victory, with Green logging four goals and two assists and
