CALDWELL, Idaho - Nine different College of Idaho players scored on Senior Day, as the Yotes cruised to a 19-4 victory over short-handed Pacific Lutheran to close out the Pacific Northwest Collegiate Lacrosse League regular-season.
The Coyotes (7-3) ended the regular-season with a school record seven wins and travel to the University of Puget Sound on Saturday in the quarterfinals of the PNCLL tournament.
C of I had little trouble against a Lutes (0-9) team that fielded just 10 players, as Dillon Green led the charge with four goals and two assists and Cory Gambill adding three goals and two helpers. Â The Yotes blitzed PLU from the outset, jumping out to a 17-1 lead at halftime, with Madison Doumani recording a career-high 10 saves in his first start in goal.
It marked the final home game for five seniors - Gambill, Patrick Erstad, Austin Mendiola, Alex Campos, Taylor Murdock.
