TACOMA, Wash. - Playing a tight match against a tough NCAA Division III opponent, the College of Idaho narrowly missed an upset of the University of Puget Sound, as the Loggers held off the Yotes, 5-4, at the UPS Tennis Center.

In doubles play, C of I earned a key 8-3 victory at No. 2 by Erin Huffman and Megan Huffman over Amelia Ford and Ali Goo – improving their record to 4-0 on the season. The Yotes narrowly missed winning at No. 1, as Lizzy Chao and Tresea Bild held off a game effort from Shae Stults and Allie Boyd to win, 8-6.

The teams split four straight-set singles' matches, with Boyd earning a 6-2, 6-3 win at No. 4 over Bild, and Erin Huffman topping Tamara Runnicles at No. 5 by the same score.

C of I tied the match at 4-4 when Megan Huffman outlasted Ford at No. 2, battling back from a one set deficit to win 3-6, 6-3, 6-3. However, Goo won the match for UPS, rallying from a set down to beat Vanessa Almaraz at No. 6, 4-6, 6-2, 6-2.
