WAIPIO, Hawaii - Playing host Chaminade University for the second time in three days, the College of Idaho used a victory at No. 1 doubles to lift the squad to a 5-4 victory over the Silverswords at the CORP Courts.
The Lady Yotes (2-5) team of Emily Huffman and Megan Huffman outlasted Melanie Schumilas and Roni Hewett, 9-7, with C of I earning free points at No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles due to forfeit. Â
The Huffman sisters also won their singles matches - Megan Huffman at No. 4, winning 6-3, 6-4 over Hewitt, with Erin Huffman sweeping Jackie McGreal, 6-0, 6-0.
C of I returns home on April 7 to host Treasure Valley Community College in an exhibition match.
