ELLENSBURG, Wash. – Eight different College of Idaho players scored at least one goal, as the Coyote lacrosse team completed a perfect road trip with a 20-3 victory over Central Washington.
The Yotes (2-0) jumped out to a 12-3 lead at the intermission and held the host Wildcats without a goal in the second half.
Ian Williams and Nick Guzzetti each had four goals and three assists for C of I in the road win. Patrick Erstad added four goals; Austin Mendiola scored three goals; with Dillon Green recording two goals and two assists.
V.J. Dahm limited CWU to just three goals and made five saves in the victory, with freshman Madison Doumani adding five saves in his collegiate debut.
Evan Schnitzius led the Wildcats (0-2) with a goal and an assist, with Jonathan Holden recording 11 saves.
C of I opens league play next weekend at Whitman.
