BOISE, Idaho – The College of Idaho closed out the counting portion of the women's tennis season with a 7-0 loss to Portland State at the Appleton Tennis Center.
Playing against an NCAA Division I opponent for the second straight match, the Lady Yotes (1-8) did not win a game in the three doubles' matches and mustered just five game wins in the singles' ladder.
Emily Tesnohlidek had the top singles' performance for the Lady Yotes, losing to the Vikings (6-6) Marina Todd, 6-1, 6-2.
"The final score didn't reflect the way we played," said head coach Cisco Limbago. "We played a lot of points well."
C of I will close out their season with a home-and-home non-counting series against Treasure Valley CC, beginning this Tuesday was a home match at 4 p.m.
