PARKLAND, Wash. - Ian Williams scored seven goals as The College of Idaho opened the 2014 Pacific Northwest Collegiate Lacrosse League season with a rousing 23-4 victory at Pacific Lutheran.
The Yotes (1-0) bolted to a 12-0 lead after the first quarter - holding the host Lutes off the scoreboard in the opening half.
Dillon Green and Patrick Erstad each tallied five goals, with Austin Mendiola scoring three in the victory.
Rookie keeper Virgil Dahm was outstanding in net, allowing just four goals and making eight saves.
